All materials used in Phyto Nutrients, from raw materials to bottles, meet or surpass Health Canada regulations. Natural products that can be sold in the USA as FDA-approved aren't necessarily allowed in Canada. In the USA, supplements are regulated as food products, whereas in Canada, they are regulated as drugs, so must meet considerably higher standards of testing for identity, purity and potency of their active ingredients (see point 7 in HCSC's FAQ list). A majority of products offered by Phyto Nutrients have a Health Canada Natural Product Number (NPN), a guarantee of high quality that is only awarded after rigorous, lengthy testing.
